DIY Christmas Wreath under $13

Hello everybody!!! How are you all doing?

I’m back with another DIY, probably my favorite kind: WREATHS!!! I’ve already made a summer and a fall one, make sure to check them out if you haven’t already! I couldn’t keep the fall one for too long on my front door so I HAD to make a Christmassy one and let me tell you, I’m in love with it! But wait for the best part: I spent less than $13 to make it!!! If you have an idea of how expensive wreaths are you will know this is a bargain! Wreaths like this one here in the US are at least $30!!!

Sono di nuovo qui con un altro lavoretto, uno dei miei preferiti: GHIRLANDE!!! Se ben vi ricordate ho creato una ghirlanda estiva e un’altra autunnale; dateci un’occhiata se vi sono scappate! Non potevo tenere quella autunnale ancora a lungo, è ormai Dicembre inoltrato, quindi BISOGNAVA che ne facessi una natalizia, e devo dire che mi piace da morire! Ma aspettate la parte migliore: ho speso meno di 13 dollari per farla!!! Qua negli USA una ghirlanda come questa viene minimo 30 dollari!!!

So I decided to make this wreath bigger than the other two that I made. My last ones were about 12 inches (30cm) of diameter but this one, ladies and gentlemen, is 24 inchesssss (60cm) yaaasss super big.

Insomma alla fine ho deciso di farne una bella grande; più grande rispetto alle altre due che ho fatto. Quelle erano più o meno 30cm di diametro ma questa, signori e signore, misura ben 60cm di diametrooo weeee enorme.

So I went to the dollar store to get fake flowers, yes guys, the dollar store. They have beautiful greenery and it’s only $1!!! I got 4 “branches” of Christmassy flowers (4 flowers each), a pack of small gold ornaments and 2 cute Christmas tree ornaments with bells that I couldn’t resist. All of this for $6 (plus taxes: $6.42!!!). Freaking bargain! I was a bit sad I couldn’t find a wire wreath or similar at the dollar store, so I had to go to Hobby Lobby. Just FYI they have 50% off ALL Christmas decor!!! I found this beautiful and big wreath (just greenery, perfect to decorate) for $9.99, 50% off so I only paid $4.99 for it!!! plus taxes only $5 and some cents! So the total amount of this haul was less than $13!!! Fantastic.

Sono andata da dollar store (tutto un euro nostro in pratica) e ho preso dei fiori finti a solo un dollaro! 4 rami di fiori finti, una confezione di palline per l’albero di Natale e dei mini alberelli di Natale con campanelline da appendere. Tutto questo a soli $6.42! Poi sono andata da Hobby Lobby per cercare una ghirlanda in fil di ferro (da decorare) ma ho trovato una ghirlanda intera già con rami di pino a soli $9.99 e in più era in sconto del 50%!!! Quindi il totale di questa spesa per la ghirlanda è stato meno di $13!!! Fantastico.

And this is how I created my Christmas wreath (super easy!!!):
Ed è così che ho creato questa ghirlanda (super semplice!!!):

1) First of all I glued all the ornaments with a hot glue gun
1) Prima di tutto ho attaccato le palline con la colla a caldo

2) After this, I cut all the greeneries and flowers and I tried to arrange them on the wreath without gluing them yet; just to make sure it would all look good and symmetrical once glued.
2) Poi ho tagliato tutti i fiori e rametti e li ho posizionati sulla ghirlanda senza incollarli; assicurati che stiano bene uno vicino all’altro e quando sei sicuro al 100% incolla!

3) Keep gluing flowers and ornaments on the wreath until you’re satisfied with the result. I added a lot of flowers and ornaments when I thought it was done. Just to fill it up even more!
3) Continua ad incollare fiori e palline sulla ghirlanda fino a quando sei soddisfatto del risultato. Io ho aggiunto decorazioni anche alla fine, per riempirla ancora di più!

 

TA DAAAA!

4) Then I added the tree ornament on the wreath hanger (genius idea btw) and voilà! Your wreath is done in less than an hour and you spent less than $13 for a wreath that looks like a $30 one! Honestly, you could probably even sell it for that big price, no joke!
4) Poi ho aggiunto l’alberello con la campanella sul gancio dove si appende la ghirlanda (idea geniale) e voilà! Hai fatto una ghirlanda stupenda in meno di un’ora e spendendo meno di 13 dollari! E sembra proprio una ghirlanda da 30 dollari, sensa schersi! Potreste addirittura venderla per quel prezzo!
