Puppy paw print in clay 🐾

It’s a Lab puppy and his name is DINO! He’s almost 3 months old right now.
È un cucciolo di Labrador e si chiama DINO! Ha quasi 3 mesi.

So as a dog mama, I had to make something crafty to remember him as a puppy, and what I decided to do is to make a paw print in clay! I used this same technique for our apartment key, to remember our first apartment. Trust me, it’s so easy and it turns out amazing. You HAVE to try it!

Da brava padroncina dovevo fare qualche lavoretto per ricordare Dino da cucciolo. Ho deciso quindi di fare l’impronta di Dino sulla pasta da modellare (tipo DAS). Ho fatto la stessa cosa per le chiavi dell’appartamento. È  un bel ricordo e anche un bell’oggetto decorativo da appendere in casa! Credetemi, è facilissimo da fare e viene fuori stupendo. dovete provarlo!

So I got this kit from Michael’s but you can also find it online on Amazon or in any craft stores really. You can also make it! It’s funny that when I went to pay it the cashier said “awww that’s a cute idea! How old is the baby?!” LOOL – nope, it’s a puppy.
Ho trovato questo kit da Michael’s ma lo puoi acquistare anche online su Amazon o in qualunque negozio di fai-da-te. Puoi ance farla a casa! Alla cassa la commessa mi ha chiesto quanti mesi avesse il bambino…haha no, niente bambino. Mi tengo il cagnetto grazie, basta e avanza.

1. Work the clay into a ball with your hands until it’s soft. Roll it smoothing out the cracks.
1. Lavora la pasta modellabile con le mani fino ad ottenere una pallina morbida.

2. Place the clay in the plastic ring and make it smooth using a rolling pin.
2. Metti la pasta nella forma e appiattiscila con un mattarello.

3. It’s paw print time! Take your puppy and gently press his paw on the clay. First the central paw pad and then each toe and claw. When you’re done clean your puppy’s paw if necessary.
3. È l’ora dell’impronta! Prendi il tuo cagnolino e premi delicatamente la zampona sulla pasta modellabile. Prima il cuscinetto centrale e poi le dita e unghie.

4. Using a pencil, make 2 holes on top. You will need them to hang your paw print!
4. Usando una matita fai due buchi in alto. Serviranno per appendere l’impronta!

5. Bake at 275°F for 30 minutes…
5. Metti in forno a 135°C per 30 minuti…

…and wait
…e aspetta

and wait a little bit more…
e aspetta un altro pochino…

Ta-daa!

6. Write your puppy’s name and date of birth, tie a bow and you’re done!
6. Scrivi il nome del tuo cucciolo e la data di nascita, fai un fiocchetto e voilà! Finito!
