DIY Pencil Holder Using IKEA Pencils! ✂️✏️

Hello everybody!!! I hope you’re all doing good!

I have been wanting to make this DIY for a long long time. I don’t know about you, but I am obsessed with IKEA and since I was a kid I used to love collecting those IKEA pencils.
I always grabbed a few every time I went there. As you can imagine the collection grew a lot and as of now I am the proud owner of 35 IKEA pencils. 😂 (I am sure I would have more if I didn’t lose a bunch-let’s be honest, they are super easy to lose, just like bobby pins).

SOOooo I decided to finally make something with them, and I came up with a pencil holder idea! This literally took me only 15 minutes and it’s so satisfying to make!!!

Avevo in mente di fare questo lavoretto da un sacco di tempo. Non so voi, ma adoro IKEA e sin da quando ero piccola mi piaceva collezionare le matitine che si trovano in negozio. Ne ho sempre preso un paio ogni volta che facevo un salto. Come potete immaginare la collezione è cresciuta e sono fiera di annunciare che possiedo ben 35 matite IKEA. 😂 (Sono sicura che ne avrei molte di più se non ne avessi perse un centinaio…siamo sinceri, sono super facili da perdere, come le forcine).

Quiiiindi ho finalmente deciso di renderle utili e ho pensato di creare un porta penne! Ci ho messo 15 minuti neanche, ed è anche super soddisfacente da fare!!!

What you will need:

• Mini Pringles tube or similar
• Scissors
• IKEA pencils of course
• Glue gun

Occorrente:

• Tubo piccolo Pringles o simile
• Forbici
• Matite IKEA ovviamente
• Pistola colla a caldo

1. Since the tube is a bit tall compared to the pencils I decided to cut the edge making it shorter.
1. Siccome il tubo è un po’ più alto rispetto alle matite ho deciso di tagliare un po’ il bordo rendendolo più corto.

2. Grab the glue gun and start gluing the side of the pencil that says IKEA (if you don’t want your pencil holder to show IKEA everywhere)
2. Prendi la pistola della colla a caldo e applicala sul lato della matita dove c’è scritto IKEA (se non vuoi che il porta penne abbia la scritta dappertutto)

3. Glue it to the tube!
3. Incollala al tubo!

4. Keep gluing!
4. Continua ad incollare!

Continue until the whole tube is covered in pencils!
Continua finché il tubo sarà interamente coperto da matite!

5. It’s your choice to spray paint it and customize it! I decided to leave it like that!
5. Puoi colorarlo e personalizzarlo come vuoi! Io ho deciso di lasciarlo così!
