DIY Himmeli Geometric Sculpture ♢

Hello everybody!

I bought a pack of 100 black straws for 1 euro and 50 cents so you can expect more crafts like this for a while now haha

I’ve been obsessed with geometric stuff lately, and I wanted to make this for so long but never really had the time. Well the day has come!
Ultimamente sono ossessionata con arredo geometrico e volevo fare questo da un bel po’ di tempo ormai ma non ho mai avuto il timo. Beh eccoci qua oggi!

What you will need:

Straws
Wire
Scissors

Occorrente:

Cannucce
Filo di ferro
Forbici

1. Grab 5 straws and cut the end of each off. Cut them in half.
1. Prendi 5 cannucce e taglia l’estremità pieghevole. Tagliale a metà.

2. Make a pentagon shape using the wire.
2. Fai un pentagono usando il filo di ferro.

3. Grab 5 more straws and cut the end of each off again. Build a pyramid twisting the wire around every corner of the pentagon base.
3. Prendi altre 5 cannucce e taglia di nuovo l’estremità pieghevole. Costruisci una piramide girando il filo attorno ogni angolo della base a forma di pentagono.

4. From this point you can customise it however you want. I built a second base. Cutting some more straws in half and in half again for the small pieces that connect the 2 pentagon shape bases. Keep in mind that the “new” pentagon base needs to be smaller than the previous one.
4. Da questo punto puoi personalizzare la tua forma geometrica a piacere. Io ho fatto una seconda base tagliando altre cannucce a metà e un’altra volta a metà per i pezzi più piccoli che connettono le due basi pentagonali. Tieni a mente che la “nuova” base pentagonale dev’essere più piccola di quella di prima.

5. Using the wire build the new base.
5. Usando il filo di ferro crea la nuova base.

Voilà!

Now you can either put it on a shelf with a candle in it or hang it using some thread. I put a small plate in it where I put some my rings and earrings and hung it in my bedroom. Use your creativity! 😊
Ora puoi metterlo su una mensola con una candela dentro oppure lo puoi appendere usando del filo. Io ci ho messo dentro un piattino dove metto di solito alcuni dei miei anelli e orecchini e l’ho appeso in camera. Usa la tua creatività! 😊
