Custom Washi Tape! 📓✂️

Today I wanted to share something that I used to do in high school, when I was bored during classes haha.
(Fun fact: at that time I didn’t even know what washi tape was 😮)

Washi tapes are just so useful when it comes to decorate cards, bookmarks, frames, bunting…pretty much anything! But let’s just say it: they are also quite expensive.
I’ve found that there are a lot of ways to make decorative tapes, not necessary washi tape because they are not made from rice paper, buuut just as pretty! So here is how I make my custom Washi Tape with a little vintage look, using tape and magazines!

Oggi voglio mostrarvi una cosa che facevo sempre al liceo quando mi annoiavo durante le lezioni haha.
(Curiosità: al tempo non sapevo neanche cosa fossero i washi tape😮)

I washi tape sono utilissimi quando c’è da decorare qualche biglietto, segnalibro, cornici, bandierine…praticamente ogni cosa! Ma diciamolo: sono anche abbastanza costosetti. 
Ho visto che ci sono parecchi modi per creare dello scotch decorativo, non necessariamente washi tape perché non sono fatti con carta di riso, maa sono ugualmente carini! Quindi ecco come faccio personalizzo i miei washi tape, con un tocco vintage, usando dello scotch e riviste!

You will need:

• Regular tape
• Old magazines, old book pages, paper, napkins…

Occorrente:

• Scotch
• Vecchie riviste, vecchi libri, fogli, salviette…

 

1. All you need to do is tear a strip of tape and tape it over your desired section of magazine page. Make sure to leave the edges of the tape up and not smoothed on the page, it will be easier to pull. You can always trim them off later and glue the tape with a stick glue.
1. Tutto quello che devi fare è tagliare un pezzo di scotch e attaccarlo sulla sezione di pagina di giornale che hai scelto. Ricordati di non attaccare i due lati, sarà più facile da strappare. Puoi sempre tagliarli dopo e incollare il tutto con la colla.

2. Smooth it down, help yourself with your nails to make sure that it’s well attached to the page. Gently pull it off.
2. Premi bene con le unghie in modo che aderisca perfettamente al foglio. Tira lo scotch facendo attenzione.

And there you have it! I really like the vintage look, it looks pretty on my bullet journal!
