Rattan Ball String Lights ✨🎄

Hello everybody and welcome to Blogmas day 15!

As some of you might know, I am obsessed with string lights. If you didn’t see the post about how I made ping pong string lights for my bed here it is. I’ve had them on my headboard since and I looove them.

Come alcuni di voi sapranno, sono ossessionata con le luci di natale. Se non avete visto il post dove ho spiegato come ho fatto le luci di natale usando palline da ping pong eccolo qui. Ce le ho tuttora in camera sulla testiera del letto e le adoro.

But I thought it was about time to change it a bit so since I received these rattan balls as a present, I took advantage of the moment and renewed the string lights in 5 minutes, no joke. It actually took me more time to google the name of these balls because I had no idea. I found wicker balls, twig balls, grape vine balls, woven balls AHHH my mind was exploding. I seriously googled it for at least 15 minutes. So if rattan balls is not the correct name, please let me know so I can change it haha.
Ma ho pensato che fosse ora di cambiare qualcosa e siccome ho di recente ricevuto queste sfere intrecciate, ne ho approfittato e ho rinnovato le luci di natale in 5 minuti, senza scherzi. In realtà mi ci è voluto più tempo per cercare il nome di queste sfere (che ancora non ho idea di quale sia in italiano) in inglese, ho trovato talmente tanti termini ma alla fine ho optato per rattan balls, sperando che vada bene haha.

These ballz are easy to find in stores, especially for decoration and they are cheap. You can use them as a centrepiece inside a clear vase, or just on a tray together with some leaves, ornaments, pinecones or anything you want. Some of you might already have them in some forgotten boxes and never use them. You can also try and DIY these using twine/yarn, mod podge and balloons! That’s actually something I would try right now if I didn’t ran out of yarn making a bunch of pom pom haha.
Queste sfere sono facili da trovare in giro per negozi, soprattutto nel reparto di decorazione casa, e sono economiche. Si possono usare come centrotavola dentro un vaso di vetro, oppure su un vassoio assieme a rami di pino, pigne, foglie e sfere dell’albero di Natale. Puoi anche provare a farle usando dello spago o filo di lana, vinavil e palloncini! Lo proverei adesso ma ho finito la lana a furia di fare pom pom haha.

In the bag I got there were 10 rattan balls. My string lights have 20 mini lightbulbs so I kept some ping pong balls as well because I didn’t want it to be empty.
Nella confezione che ho ricevuto c’erano 10 sfere e le luci di Natale che ho io hanno 20 lampadine quindi ho lasciato delle palline da ping pong perché non volevo che sembrasse troppo vuoto.

All you need to do is insert each light into each rattan ball making sure you pick a tight split so they don’t slip off.
Tutto quello che devi fare è inserire ogni luce dentro ogni sfera assicurandoti di scegliere una fessura stretta in modo che non scivoli via.

I really like these greenish colours because they match my bedroom and at the same time they make it Christmassy and cozy!
Mi piacciono queste tonalità sul verde perché stanno bene col resto della mia camera e allo stesso tempo la rendono natalizia e accogliente!
