Kusudama Flowers – DIY Gift Idea! 🌸🎁

Hello everybody and welcome to Blogmas Day 8!

Today I am going to show you another gift idea to make for Christmas. It’s a nice present to give or to add to another present. Kusudama means medicine balls in Japanese, in fact, the original Kusudama is a big ball of these flowers glued together. For this Kusudama I am going to make a single flower. It turns out beautiful and it only requires two things:

Coloured paper
Pipe cleaners

Oggi vi mostro un’altra idea regalo da fare per Natale. È un bel regalo da fare da solo o anche assieme ad altro. Kusudama vuol dire sfera medicinale, infatti, il Kusudama originale è una grande sfera formata da tanti di questi fiori incollati tra loro. Per questo Kusudama farò un fiore singolo. Fa la sua bella figura e per crearlo hai solo bisogno di due cose:

Carta colorata
Scovolini

1. The first thing you need to do is cut five 10cm x 10 cm pieces of paper (3.9 in x 3.9in. Just make it 4 so you don’t go crazy 😅 they just need to be squares)
1. La prima cosa che devi fare è tagliare cinque 10cm x 10cm pezzi di carta

2. Take a square and follow the instructions down here.
2. Prendi un quadrato e segui le istruzioni qui sotto.

3. When you get to point 5 you need to glue those two wings. And there you have a petal.
3. Quando arrivi al punto 5 devi incollare le due ali. Così ottieni un petalo del fiore.

Hint: To keep it in place use a clothespin
Consiglio: Per farlo aderire meglio usa una molletta.

4. Make the other four petals and glue them all together like in the picture. Clothespins are so useful!
4. Fai gli altri quattro petali e incollali insieme come nella foto. Le mollette servono un sacco!

5. When it’s dry insert the pipe cleaner and there you have a flower! Make as many as you want and give them to someone you love! ☺️
