Blogmas Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to my first Blogmas post!!! Actually, I already started posting things about Christmas, but now that it is December I feel like I can actually name this Blogmas haha.

Since it is December 1st, I am going to show you a few Advent calendar ideas that I have at home. Something different than the classic chocolate advent calendar. So here are some that you can DIY, others require more work. Let’s get started!

Ciao a tutti e benvenuti al mio primo Blogmas! Come avrete già potuto notare, in realtà ho iniziato a pubblicare post natalizi qualche settimana fa, ma ora che è Dicembre posso finalmente chiamarli Blogmas haha.

Visto che è il primo giorno di Dicembre, oggi vi mostrerò diversi calendari dell’Avvento che ho per casa. Qualcosa di diverso dal classico calendario dell’Avvento con i cioccolatini. Alcuni sono fai-da-te, altri un po’ più impegnativi. Cominciamo!

Advent Wreath – Corona dell’Avvento

The Advent wreath is a Christmas tradition, especially in the Anglo-Saxon and germanic cultures. It is easy to make, you will only need a wreath, 4 candles, ribbons, pinecones, evergreens… anything you want to decorate it with! Each candle of the Advent wreath marks one of the four Sundays during Advent. As you can see I already lit up the first candle for the first Advent Sunday (November 27th) 😊
La corona dell’Avvento è una tradizione natalizia, soprattutto dei paesi con cultura anglosassone e germanica. è semplice da fare, avrai bisogno di una corona, 4 candele, nastri, pigne, sempreverdi… qualsiasi cosa tu voglia per decorarla! Ogni candela della corona dell’Avvento segna una delle quattro domeniche dell’Avvento. Come puoi vedere ho già acceso la prima candela per la prima domenica (27 Novembre) 😊

 

Advent Calendar with Charms – Calendario dell’Avvento con Charms

My mother made this one a while ago and I think it looks so pretty. She sewed Buon Natale and added these super cute charms and ribbons 😊
Mia madre ha fatto questo calendario un po’ di tempo fa e mi piace molto. Ha cucito la scritta Buon Natale e ha aggiunto questi bellissimi charms e nastrini 😊

 

 

Advent Calendar Banner Garland – Calendario dell’Avvento

This is the good old Advent Calendar banner garland. This one I have is made with felt and it is really easy to make. I think that both kids and teenagers (and maybe adults) love this because every day there is a riddle or sentence in rhyme that leads to a super fun treasure hunt. You can even put small gifts, chocolates or candy in the pockets.  There are so many ways to DIY a banner garland like this: envelopes, cards, boxes made with paper rolls… Here is what mine looks like 😊
Questo è il buon vecchio classico Calendario dell’Avvento da appendere. Questo che ho io è fatto con del feltro ed è semplice da creare. Penso che sia i bambini che i più grandi adorino questo calendario perché ogni giorno c’è un indovinello o una frase in rima e quello che ne segue è una caccia al tesoro. Puoi mettere anche dei piccoli regalini dentro le taschine, delle caramelle o cioccolatini. Puoi anche usare delle buste al posto delle tasche di feltro, dei biglietti, scatole fatte con i rotoli di carta igienica… Ecco il mio 😊

 

Patchwork Advent Calendar – Calendario dell’Avvento Patchwork

This is another Advent Calendar that my mother made, as you can see it’s a patchwork. She sewed some buttons to hang a Christmas symbol every day.
Questo è un altro calendario dell’Avvento che ha fatto mia madre; patchwork! Ha cucito dei bottoni dove ogni giorno si appende un simbolo natalizio di stoffa.

 

Advent Candle – Candela dell’Avvento

Last Advent calendar idea: the Advent candle. I am sure all of you have seen this kind of candles around. It is a candle with the days of December up to Christmas Eve, so it isn’t really an Advent idea because it doesn’t always start on December 1st, BUT I think it’s still pretty. Each day in December the candle is burnt down a bit more 😊
L’ultima idea per il calendario dell’Avvento è la candela dell’Avvento. Sono sicura che tutti voi ne avete vista almeno una. In pratica è una candela con i giorni di Dicembre, dall’1 al 24. Ogni giorno si accende la candela finché non si scioglie il primo giorno e così via 😊
