Bullet Journal Flip-Through 📓📝🗓

Two weeks ago I grabbed my first Bullet Journal and published a blog post about it.
I have been looking here and there for some ideas and inspiration, especially on Pinterest, and all of them are just wonderful; there are so many talented people out there!
So in 2 weeks I did the best I could and I finally set up my first pages. I have to say that the bullet journal helped me being more organised. I love that I can check what I do everyday and what I DON’T do. It is helping me analysing my behaviour and I can tell I am not procrastinating anymore. Not that I was a complete mess, but let’s say sometimes I am a bit lazy!
Today I am going to show you my bullet journal set up for the year 2017, so here is my first flip-through, I hope you enjoy it.

Due settimane fa ho preso il mio primo Bullet Journal e ho pubblicato un post a riguardo.
Ho cercato qua e là qualche idea ed ispirazione, soprattutto su Pinterest, e sono tutte fantastiche; ci sono un sacco di persone in gamba piene di talento!
In due settimane ho cercato di fare del mio meglio e ho finalmente impostato le prime pagine. Devo dire che il bullet journal mi ha aiutato ad essere più organizzata. Mi piace il fatto che ho tutto sott’occhio, posso controllare tutto quello che faccio e che NON faccio. Mi sta aiutando ad analizzare il mio carattere e posso dire sto facendo di più. Non che fossi una frana, intendiamoci, ma diciamo che a volte sono un po’ pigra.
Oggi vi mostrerò il mio bullet journal così com’è fino ad ora per l’anno nuovo, quindi ecco delle foto, spero che vi piaccia!

P.S. Mi raccomando, date un’occhiata ai bravissimi creatori di bullet journal che ho linkato quaggiù da qualche parte. Sono tutti fantastici e mi hanno ispirato dandomi molte idee.

I started with a 2016 and 2017 over view, which in my opinion it is a must. I am using coloured pencils for Italian and American holidays (red and blue), for birthdays (green) and time changes (yellow).
Ho cominciato con il calendario del 2016 e 2017 che a parer mio è un must. Ho usato delle matite colorate per segnare le festività Italiane ed Americane (red and blue), compleanni (verde) e cambi dell’ora (giallo).

Next we have a future log. I used the Eddy Hope Method which I know it will be useful. It’s an ingenious system to keep track of all your events and plans simply by using some coloured dots or symbols. To check what the event or appointment is just go check that day in the daily log and look for a, let’s say, green dot. Isn’t this cool? To read more about this go check that link out!
Nella pagina successiva abbiamo il cosiddetto future log. Ho usato il metodo di Eddy Hope e so che sarà molto utile. Si tratta di un modo ingegnoso per aver sotto controllo in 2 pagine tutti gli eventi ed appuntamenti usando semplicemente dei simboli o punti colorati. Per controllare l’appuntamento o l’evento devi solo andare nel daily log e cercare il determinato simbolo/colore. Non è figo? Per saperne di più clicca quel link!

Here we have some pages with ideas, such as: blog ideas, statistics for Pinterest and my blog, books to read, movies to watch, bucket list, gift ideas/wish list. As you can see it’s a bilingual bullet journal haha. I didn’t really plan on making it just Italian or just English. I just wrote down what I felt and it turned out like this…a bit original 😅 I can’t help it, some things sounds better in English and viceversa.
Poi abbiamo delle pagine con idee come: idee per il blog, statistiche per Pinterest e il blog, libri da leggere, film da vedere, cose da fare una volta nella vita, idee per regali/desideri. Come potete vedere è un bullet journal bilingue haha. Non l’ho fatto apposta, ho solo scritto giù quello che mi sentivo ed è venuto fuori così…un po’ originale 😅 Non c’è niente da fare, certe cose suonano meglio in inglese e viceversa.

And here we have the monthly log. I started from November, because I couldn’t wait until January haha. I decided to display it like this, keeping track of holidays and birthdays. Every colour has its own meaning, just like for the year over view. I decided to include some goals for each month and I use some sticky notes for things I need to keep in mind on November.
E qui abbiamo la vista del mese. Ho cominciato da Novembre perché non volevo aspettare fino a Gennaio haha. Ho deciso di disporre il tutto in questo modo, tenendo sempre le vacanze e i compleanni segnati con i rispettivi colori. Ho voluto anche predisporre uno spazio per gli obiettivi del mese. Con un post it tengo a mente alcuni orari di Novembre.

My favorite page, and probably the most useful one, is the Daily Habit Tracker of Alec Fischr. You basically write down the things you should do every day (or not) and colour each square of that day when you’ve completed the task. I blurred mine but some things I keep track of are: drink water, read 30 minutes, publish a blog post, no money spent, face mask, hair mask etc. I love this so much because it lets me understand my behaviour and what I actually do every day of the month. Plus the less coloured it is, the more you feel like you should do those things! It motivates you!
La mia pagina preferita e, molto probabilmente la più utile, è il Daily Habit Tracker di Alec Fischr. Praticamente scrivi tutte le cose che dovresti fare (o non) e colori ogni quadretto di quel giorno quando hai completato la missione. Ho coperto i miei “obiettivi”, ma alcuni sono: bevi acqua, leggi 30 minuti, pubblica sul blog, niente soldi spesi, maschera viso, maschera capelli ecc. Mi piace un sacco perché mi permette di capire il mio comportamento e carattere. Riesco a vedere con un’occhiata quello che faccio ogni giorno del mese. In più, meno colorata è la pagina, più senti che devi darti una mossa e fare qualcosa! è una ottima motivazione!

Let’s take a look at the daily log now. I started with Boho Berry’s Daily Planning Method and it is just so pretty. This is something you have to do every day, the night before. I liked experimenting and trying a new hand writing every day. I also loved the “hours line” that keeps track of the hours of sleep, meetings, appointments etc. Let’s talk about the weather drawings?! Loved drawing those. This is a great daily log if you are a creative person. But let me tell you: you also need a bit of free time to build this up…
Diamo un’occhiata a questo daily log. Ho cominciato usando Boho Berry’s Daily Planning Method ed è super carino. Devi farlo ogni giorno, e preparare la sera prima lo “spazio” del giorno dopo. Mi è piaciuto sperimentare e provare una nuova calligrafia ogni giorno. La linea delle ore è utile come divisorio e per vedere quante ore dormiamo, quanto stiamo fuori di casa ecc. I disegni del tempo?! Stupendi e rilassanti da fare. Questo è un buon daily log se sei una persona creativa. Ma lasciami dire: devi avere anche un bel po’ di tempo libero per costruire tutto…

…but I don’t really have that much of free time. And if I do, I rather go out with friends, read a book or go for a walk and exercise. So sometimes I got too lazy to draw the “new day”. This bullet journal was meant for me to avoid the laziness! So I tried this daily log instead. It’s basically an agenda page and I love it so much. I like the fact that I have the whole week in one page and I think this is how my brain works as well; if I imagine the week in my head, I think about a page like this, or a horizontal week. That being said, I prefer this method for now. It’s less pretty, of course, but it’s more clear to me.
…ma non ho mai tanto tempo libero. E se ce l’ho, preferisco uscire con le amiche, leggere un libro, andare a passeggiare e fare sport. Quindi a volte non avevo voglia di disegnare il “nuovo giorno”. Questo bullet journal serviva per organizzarmi, non per farmi passare la voglia! Quindi ho provato questo daily log invece. Mi piace il fatto che ho sott’occhio l’intera settimana, e penso che il mio cervello lavori proprio così; se mi immagino la settimana, penso ad una pagina così o ad una vista orizzontale. Fatto sta che mi trovo meglio con questo metodo. Meno bello esteticamente, ma più chiaro a mio parere.

Now let’s talk about my bullet journal supplies! First of all, I have a Leuchtturm 1917 dotted.
I use Stabilo point 88 fineliner coloured pens. I love these so much, they work perfectly on the Leuchtturm’s pages.
Ora parliamo del materiale che utilizzo! Prima di tutto, ho una Leuchtturm 1917 dotted.
Uso le penne colorate Stabilo point 88 fineliner. Mi piacciono molto e funzionano perfettamente sulle pagine della Leuchtturm1917.

I also use Stabilo coloured pencils, I’ve had these for a looong time, as you can see.
Uso anche le matite della Stabilo, ce le ho da moolto tempo come potete vedere.

Last but not least: drawing pens. I love the Staedtler pigment liner pens. I usually use a thick one for the titles and lines (0.8) and a 0.05 for super thin lines. Another pen that I always use for the text is the Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen. When I need a 0.5 pen I use the Staedtler triplus liner.
Ultimo ma non per importanza: penne da disegno. Adoro le penne Staedtler pigment liner. Di solito uso quella con la punta spessa per i titoli e linee (0.8) e una 0.05 per altre linee meno spesse. Un’altra penna che uso per le parole e testi è la Faber Castell Pitt Artist. Quando ho bisogno di una penna 0.5 uso la Staedtler triplus liner.
