What the heck is a bullet journal?
The Bullet Journal is a customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and diary, but most likely, it will be all of the above. It will teach you to do more withย less.ย Check the bullet journal website here โย Bullet Journal
I have been wanting to start one of these for a looong long time. If you’re a Pinterest follower you know that I pin a bunch of layout ideas to my bullet journal board.
All you need is a notebook and a pen! So last week I finally decided to get a notebook to start my own bullet journal. After several searches on the internet, I picked the dotted Leuchtturm 1917 in colour navy blue because all the other colours I wanted were out of stock, gosh darn it.ย Thumbs up for my luck.
(Disclaimer: all these notebookย pics are taken from the Leuchtturm 1917 website!)
These were all the gorgeous colours:
And thisย is what the navy blueย looks like. Don’t laugh at the basic colour, I actually don’t mind it:
It’s the medium size (A5), hardcover, 249 numbered pages and I love the consistence of the paper.
It has its own stickers for labelling and archiving
A blank table of content
A pocket
And 8 perforated and detachable sheets!
I also bought aย pen loop that matches the notebook:
Now what are you supposed to do with it, you may ask? I suggest you watch this short video that explains pretty much the basics and how to set up your bullet journal.
You can set it up however you want, there are endless ways to customise it, make it more personal and prettier! Here are some of my favourite bullet journal layout ideas made by theseย awesome people:

I need to start setting mine up now! I am so excited and I am sure this is a way to help people stop procrastinating!
I hope this inspired you to track things down, put goals on paper and use your creativity while being organised!
Do you have a bullet journal?ย

I would love to have a bullet journal, but I doubt mine would turn out nice ๐ฆ I have an online one instead on Evernote, it’s much easier as I’m not anxious about screwing it up! I hope your Bullet Journal experience is a lovely one! โค

That’s a good idea. I think mine would end up just a chicken scrawl of nonsense though. I still might try just to see what happens

Haha I am experimenting as well. I am doing a list of things I want to put in before I start setting it up. Trying not to make a mess already ๐ ๐

This is something that fits my personality not at all! But there are no words that can describe how much I love the production, creativity, and satisfaction of watching others design their notebooks!

Lovely idea but sometimes I start well and then I get lazy or I’m too busy to keep it nice!! I love what you’ve done so far!

Thank you! Sometimes I get lazy too. I found it easier to set it up in a different way so that it’s not too much work to do, but it still looks pretty decent! ๐ ๐โบ๏ธ

this is such a neat idea! i feel like it would look great in my head; but i would never be able to get it down on paper the way i want. if that makes sense. things always look better in my head…

Haha I know what you mean!!! That’s why I only do it when I’m inspired ๐

that makes perfect sense! better to do it when you’re in the mood than to force it.
