DIY Polka Dot Jar & Hanging Lantern ๐Ÿ”ตโšช๏ธ

Let’s be honest: who doesn’t love polka dots?!

This isย such a clever craft but yet so easy and creative!
It only uses a few items that I am sure you have at home right now and itย will make you want to add polka dots on everything!

This is allย you need:

  • nail polish. As many colours as you want
  • a glass jar. Mason jar works perfectly, I used a smallย Quattro Stagioniย jar (that’s what we have in Italy)
  • hole reinforcement stickers. BOOM the most important item
  • add wire or twine to hang the lantern

Occorrente

  • smalto per unghie
  • vasetto di vetro “Quattro Stagioni”
  • salva buchi
  • filo di ferro

And now let’s DIY

1. Stick the reinforcement stickers on the jar
1. Appiccica i salva buchi sul vasetto

2. Start painting the holes with nail polish. Paint another coat if you noticeย that the paint faded away a bit.
2. Comincia a dipingere i buchi con lo smalto. Passaย una seconda mano se c’รจ bisogno

(Just so you guys know, I am obsessed with the tiffany blueย nail polish)

3. Onceย all the dots are fully coloured, let it dry for about 15 minutes.
Once it is dry, use a pair of tweezers to remove the reinforcement stickers.
3. Una volta cheย tutti i buchi sono colorati lascia asciugare per 15 minuti.
Quando รจ tutto asciutto prendi un paio di pinzette da sopracciglia e togli i salva buchi

Et voilร !

You can now use it as a pencil holder or just put a candle in it and use it as a lantern!

I used a simple wire but you can also use a piece of twine.

Puoi usarlo come porta penne o come lanterna usando il filo di ferro.

The options are seriously endless. You can alsoย use ceramics, wrapping paper, phone cases, flower pots… just about anything decorative!

Provalo anche sulla ceramica, carta da regalo, custodie per i telefoni, vasi… le opzioni sono infinite
